2 Sixty-Three Years in Shelbyville
By a mishap, we failed to note at the time the pleasant surprise
given to Mrs. Abraham Oliver of this city on her sixty-third birthday.
This was Monday, Feb. 2, according to one of our lcoal papers, the
“Leader,” and Tuesday, Feb. 3 according to the “Democrat” and Thursday,
Feb. 5 according to the “Union.” We don’t know which is correct. Mrs.
Oliver is said to be the oldest living native of Shelbyville. She is
the eldest daughter of Joseph Oliver whose name is held in reverence by
all who knew him. She has been a quiet, neighborly christian woman all
these years. She deserves many happy surprises.
