      Mr. and Mrs. Ross Henry and Mr. and Mrs. D. E. Elliott spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Walker at Arcola.
   Bernice Elliott spent Sunday with her grandmother, Mrs. J. E. Sims of Shelbyville.
   Mr. and Mrs. D. D. Kensil spent Sunday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. O. C. Foster near Tower Hill.
   Mr. and Mrs. Arnold and family of Effingham spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Alpha Largent, Mr. Dan Largent of Stewardson accompanied them and remained for a visit of several days.
  Mr. and Mrs. Ira Elliott and children spent Sunday with Mrs. Jennie Weakley and family of near Obed.
   Orth Elliott went to Chicago last week where he will visit with friends for a time.
   Mr. and Mrs. John Kirk of Findlay spent Sunday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Ross Henry.
   Mrs. Ira Elliott was hostess to the Friendship Club  last Thursday afternoon.  AT this time two “showers” were given, one for Kenneth Lee Manning, Born August 18 (1932), son of Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Manning, the other for Gary Montgomery Brown, borm August 31 (1932), son of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Brown of Centreville, Mich., whose mother was formerly Miss Inez Elliott, a former member of the club. Many beautiful and useful gifts were received. Mrs. Elliott served delicious refreshments.
   Mr. and Mrs. Alpha Largent and Mrs. Tisha Gladman spent Sunday evening with Mrs. Frances Clark and family at Assumption. Mrs. Gladman remained for a week’s visit with her daughter, Mrs. Clar,.
   Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hudson of Shelbyville spent Wednesday evening with Mr. and Mrs. D. E. Elliott and daughter.
   Mr. and Mrs. Wilse Henry and family spent Sunday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. Mart Hannaman and Mrs. Sarah Henry in Shelbyville.
